The abandonment series is again a university project but i might add that it was one of my favorite projects getting out and about and exploring those places that you never knew existed even when they are right on your very door step.

This series of photographs were taken at two different locations, location one was an abandoned factory located next to the old leeds chemical plant which sadly has been demolished however it had left behind some industrial reminders of what once stood on the vast area. The second location is again an abandoned factory however this one was not boarded up and was a simple case of walk inside and lets have a look around. Still mostly intact and easy to venture around taking some intriguing photographs of what was once a bustling forge. The factory which stood bare with old signs scattered about gave the feeling, that eerie impression you get when in a once busy place was now stood silent lost in time.

location 1- i feel the that the out of focus setting with the valve in focus gives a good contrast for the use of aperture where the main focus is purely on the valve.

location 1- in my opinion this photo is very over exposed as the natural light reflecting against the white walls.

location 1- the only aspect i dont like on this photo is the lack of zoom to draw you eye more to the rugged look of the barrier, the zoom issue is due to the fact i used the fish-eye lens, but because i was stood at the wrong angle the sunlight has over exposed the image.
